Why Do Girls Love Shopping???

Prestige. When girls shop, they are highly motivated to locate brand names for less to upgrade their appearance and the quality of their wardrobe. After all, prestigious designer labels make the girl wearing them feel a whole lot better about how she looks. Just as guys surf sporting goods stores to find better gear for less, girls comb clearance racks in search of that designer label for seventy percent off.

The desire to provide! Girls are naturally maternal and yearn to use their highly refined shopping skills to find bargains for the people they love. It's not only about finding those incredible shoes for themselves that they put themselves into the shoes of their loved ones so they can find them cool stuff, too. Shopping fulfills the motherly instinct in girls to provide for themselves and the people they love.

Trends and updates. Frankly, fashion changes every minute and a girl has to keep up with it. It's almost criminal among girls to be outdated and subtle suggestions to contact the fashion police will be made. Shopping is a necessary way to follow trends and stay up to date.

A pleasurable hobby. It's fun, they know how to do it and it becomes a pleasurable hobby. The more girls shop, the better they get at it and the more fun it is. They know where the bargains are, how to find them and when to look so it becomes a great way to spend some enjoyable time.

Competition. Girls push, shove, step on each other and use creative tactics to grab that last pair

of Baby Phat jeans on sale. A girl imagines the envy of her friends at the club that night when she brags about how much she didn't have to pay for those hot jeans! Frankly, scoring a bargain makes a girl's self-esteem soar like a guy with a deer head over the mantle and a tale to tell.

Myself as a teenage girl, still questioning why girls love shopping. For me, I rather shop for home goods with my mom at the end of the week than go shopping just to fulfill my own desire. Other than that, shopping is one of the best ways to waste money and time quickly.

Capoeira Art

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that makes a ritual of movements from martial arts, games, and dance. It was brought to Brazil from Angola some time after the 16th century in the regions known as Bahia, Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro. Participants form a roda, or circle, and take turns either playing musical instruments (such as the Berimbau), singing, or ritually sparring in pairs in the center of the circle.

The game is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, and extensive use of sweeps, kicks, and headbutts. Less frequently used techniques include elbow strikes, slaps, punches, and body throws. Its origins and purpose are a matter of debate, with the spectrum of argument ranging from views of Capoeira as a uniquely Brazilian folk dance with improvised fighting movements to claims that it is a battle-ready fighting form directly descended from ancient African techniques.

Capoeira's origins are very clear. It is a combination of African and Brazilian martial arts, but camps are generally divided between those who believe it is a direct descendant of African fighting styles and those who believe it is a uniquely Brazilian dance form distilled from various African and Brazilian influences. The one popular theory is that it is an African fighting style that was developed in Brazil. This theory is further supported by a mestre named Salvano, who once said, "Capoeira cannot exist without black men but its birthplace is Brazil".

What a unique style of martial arts combined with dance and acrobatics! I hope I will be able to learn this type of martial arts one day because this unique technique relies heavily on kicks, leg sweeps for attacks and dodges for defenses. I wonder when our university are going to bring on this martial art here..:(

MR. CROC…..

The Bhitarkanika Park in India on the Orissa coast has achieved the rare distinction of housing the world's largest salt water crocodile measuring about 23 feet. What has delighted the wildlife lovers and wildlife officials in the state is that the largest crocodile of Bhitarkanika has again found a place in the 2006 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Orissa chief wildlife warden S C Mohanty confirmed that the creeks inside the park are home to some of the world`s largest salt water crocodiles. During 1994 also, the Guinness book of world record had maintained that Bhitarkanika has the largest living crocodile in the world. The latest census carried out by the wildlife division indicated that the Bhitarkanika sanctuary has a total strength of 1462 crocodiles which included 203 adults.

According to crocodile experts and senior research officer in the wildlife division Sudhakar Kar, nearly eight salt water crocodiles in Bhitarkanika have the length of 16 to 18 feet while five were reportedly having a length of 18 to 20 feet and three crocodiles measured above 20 feet.

Bhitarkanika has also emerged as the ideal habitat for the salt water crocodile in the country and also the largest concentration. Though Sundarbans sanctuary has a good mangrove forest, yet it houses a very small population of the salt water crocodiles. So is the case of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Dr Kar said that the Dangmal Interpretation Centre located inside the Bhitarkanika Park has preserved the full skeleton of a 19 feet 8 inch long crocodile found dead last year. The crocodile was initially cremated but later the wildlife officials retrieved the skeleton and decided to preserve it to make the people aware that the park is home to some of the largest salt water crocodiles of the world.

Wildlife experts, however, argued that the largest crocodile so far found in the Bhitarkanika was almost 25-foot-long which could be traced from the skull preserved by the Kanika Royal Family. The crocodile, probably was shot dead near Dhamara during 1926 and later its skull was preserved by the then Kanika King. The crocodile experts said as per the parameters, the crocodile would be about 25 feet since the size of the skull was measured one seventh of the total length of the body.

The Bombay Natural History Society (BHNS) and the Orissa Wildlife Division have approached the Kanika Royal Family to hand over the skull of the largest crocodile for preservation but in vain. The Royal Family in possession of the skull of the largest crocodile in the world, refused to part it.

Wildlife experts said besides the largest living crocodile, the Bhitarkanika has another distinction of having rare and endangered white crocodiles numbering about ten in the wild. This apart, the Dangmal Crocodile Research Centre also has a rare white crocodile named 'Gori' in captivity for over last two decades.

The crocodile reminds me to the late Steve Irwin or “ The Crocodile Hunter” who died after his chest was fatally pierced by a stingray barb whilst filming in Australia's Great Barrier Reef. He is the wildlife warrior who always promote global conservation.

2006 Guinness World Record Holder for Longest Cat

Meet Frieda Ireland’s pet cat Leo, as he is known, a 100% purebred domestic cat with a CFA pedigree. The people of Chicago, Illinois can be proud to call the world’s biggest cat their own.
He is the Biggest Maine Coon Cat; the Largest Maine Coon Cat.

On NBC affiliate station, WMAQ TV, Leo is shown at the office of veterinarian Scott Rovner, DVM, where his size was earlier measured and adjudicated for submission to the Guinness World Records for the category "Longest Cat in the World".Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red is beating the prior Longest Cat Guinness World Record holder, named Snowbie, by a whole 6 inches.

Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red is 48 inches tall from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail and weighs 35 pounds. He holds the record for Longest Cat. Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red is being doted on at the Vet's office, about 6 months prior to Leo's return there, when the NBC-TV story was done. Doctor Rovner is 6 ft. 2 in. tall for reference.Leo's veterinarian stresses the point that his frame is big enough to carry this much weight and that 35 pounds is a good, healthy weight for Leo, emphasizing that he is not overweight.

Guinness compares Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red to the same size as an 8 year old child and his paw just fits into a size 2 child's shoe. But if he were a human to Guinness's scale, Leo would stretch over 8 feet tall and weigh 220 pounds.Freida says “We have to keep our eye on him when we’re cooking, because he can stand up and put his paws on the kitchen counter.” Leo's dietary favorites are listed by Guinness. A kitten picture of Verismo Leonetti Reserve Redat 13 weeks a now probably one of the biggest cats Verismo has ever produced.

What a big size cat… I bet no dogs dare to come closer to him. I wonder what type of food does his owner feed him? My mom did bought special food for my cats but they prefer to eat fishes and rice rather than eating this diet cat food.

The Concorde Supersonic Transport

The Concorde supersonic airliner, built jointly by France and Great Britain, to this day remains the only such supersonic plane to operate successfully in commercial service and has earned its prominent place in aeronautical history. For half a century, plane builders flew their airliners at increasingly high speeds and altitudes. Concorde marked the limits of this trend, with the aviation industry subsequently returning to conventional jets rather than seeking newer frontiers.

Its background traces back to the 1950s, when the great French plane builder Marcel Dassault built a succession of high-speed military fighters. His company, Avions Dassault, realized a significant achievement with its Mirage series. In October 1958, a Mirage III-A flew at twice the speed of sound, the first time this had happened in Europe.

The first experimental Concorde took to the air in 1969. In 1972, the question arose in a serious way as to whether any airlines wanted to order the plane. Events soon showed that almost no one wanted it, for it was highly costly to operate. It achieved its high speed by burning fuel in vast quantities. Yet it spread its costs only over some 100 passengers per flight, which forced ticket prices to exorbitant heights.

Only 14 Concordes ever flew in commercial service. All of them served the national airlines, British Airways and Air France. They acquired considerable glamour. There was very great prestige in flying to Paris on a Concorde, and those who did it let their friends know about it. The flight was whisper-quiet. The windows were small but through them one could see a velvet-purple sky that brightened to a light-colored band near the horizon. Coastlines were as distinct as on a map. By looking closely, one might see the curvature of the Earth.

A Concorde crashed in mid-2000, leading Britain and France to withdraw the remaining planes from service until investigations into the cause of the crash were complete. They returned to service at the beginning of November 2001.

I’ve watch air-craft investigation in Discovery Channel Before which a Concorde jet had crashed and killed 113 people. The jet crashed shortly after takeoff from Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport. Poor people, most of the them burned or break up as the Concorde burned heavily on the sky. ;(

Secret Behind Happy Married Life

Once X asked Y, "What is the secret behind your happy married life?"

Y said, "You should share responsibilities with due love and respect to each other. Then absolutely there will be no problems."

X asked, "Can you explain?"

Y said, "In my house, I take decisions on bigger issues where as my wife decides on smaller issues. We do not interfere in each other's decisions."

Still not convinced, X asked Y "Give me some examples"

Y said, "Smaller issues like which car we should buy, how much amount to save, when to visit home town, which Sofa, air conditioner, refrigerator to buy, monthly expenses, whether to keep a maid or not etc are decided by my wife. I just agree to it"

X asked, "Then what is your role?"

Y said, "My decisions are only for very big issues. Like whether America should attack Iraq, whether Britain should lift sanction over Zimbabwe, whether to widen African economy, whether Sachin Tendulkar should retire etc. Do you know one thing, my wife NEVER objects to any of these".

Marriage is the biggest commitment people make in this world .For me, the meaning of cooperation and compromise are two key elements to a successful marriage. No matter how busy you are always make time for each other. It is the fundamental secret to a happy marriage.

This is a familiar story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that
Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when
Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

What went wrong? Please do not get confuse…
